Our History
Arabo Filters Co. was founded in 1953 in Alexandria, Egypt, by Eng. Osman Afify. The company quickly established itself as a vital player in Egypt’s industrial development, notably contributing to the Aswan High Dam National Project by supplying turbine filters—marking a proud legacy in one of the nation’s most iconic infrastructure undertakings.
In 1968, Eng. Mohamed Al Arabi, the founder’s son, assumed leadership and began a transformative phase. He modernized the factory, introduced essential filter manufacturing machinery, and expanded production capabilities. These efforts laid the groundwork for a diverse product range and propelled the company to a turnover of LE 90 million.
The journey continued with the third generation, Sherif Al Arabi, who took over as CEO. With a clear and ambitious vision, he reinforced Arabo Filters’ position as a leading producer of environmental filters in the Middle East, focusing on high-quality, custom-made filtration systems and rapid delivery.
Today, the fourth generation has risen, ushering in a new era of digital transformation, design innovation, and global outreach. This generation is not only building upon the legacy of their predecessors but also shaping the company’s future with a strong focus on advanced engineering, sustainable practices, and international competitiveness.
